Get ready to close! Once you've confirmed your purchase, we'll immediately email you the contract for the steel structure building. Simply sign the documents and pay the deposit. Once that's done, we'll begin developing the plan.
Once the drawings are finalized (1-2 weeks), we will send them to you and once you approve them, we will start material production.
The production will take about 1-8 weeks depending on the scale of the project. We will notify you when the production is completed. After inspection, you need to pay the balance and we will arrange shipment.
We use bottom pallet to put the goods in container,We will ship to your destination by sea, shipping time which takes about 2-8 weeks depending on the country. After receiving the goods, we will guide you to install them.
What Is an Indoor Riding Arena?
An indoor riding arena is a covered equestrian training space designed to protect riders, horses, and footing from weather disruptions. Unlike open arenas, an indoor facility helps control wind, rain, glare, and surface moisture—making it easier to run lessons, training programs, and daily riding routines on a reliable schedule.
Why Build Indoors?
Ride Year-Round and Keep Training Consistent
Weather downtime is expensive—especially for training centers and barns that operate on set schedules. An indoor arena reduces cancellations and keeps your facility usable through rain, cold seasons, and strong winds. That consistency improves lesson quality, horse conditioning, and overall facility utilization.
Safer Conditions and Better Riding Flow
Indoor spaces can be designed with clearer sight lines, fewer distractions, and more predictable footing moisture. When the layout supports smooth circulation (entries, exits, equipment access, and viewing areas), daily use becomes more efficient and less stressful for both horses and riders.
Recommended Sizes & Layout Planning
Popular Arena Sizes (and How to Choose)
Many owners start with proven dimensions, then adjust based on discipline, rider volume, and available land. Popular starting points include:
20×40 m (training and general riding)
20×60 m (extended training, more flexibility for lessons)
Custom sizes for multi-use facilities, larger rider groups, or event-style layouts
If you’re unsure, plan around your riding program first (daily lesson volume, number of horses in rotation, and intended discipline), then confirm workable equipment access and safety clearances.
Large-Span Steel Framing (Practical, Not Overpromised)
Indoor arenas are often large-area buildings. They may not always be fully “column-free” in every design scenario, but large spans are achievable with portal frames and proper bracing planning. The right structural approach helps reduce interior obstructions and keeps the riding area clean and functional.
Structural System and Steel Material Options
Portal Frame + Secondary Framing + Bracing
A typical steel indoor arena structure includes:
Main frames (columns + rafters/rigid frames) to carry primary loads
Purlins and girts to support roof/wall cladding
Bracing system to stabilize the building under wind and seismic forces
We design around your local loads and intended building size, so the structure matches actual conditions—not generic assumptions.
Steel Materials and Grade Options (China Standards as Default)
Vizsteel mainly uses structural steel grades aligned with China standards, typically including Q235 and Q345/Q355 series, selected according to your arena dimensions, wind/snow/seismic loads, and engineering requirements. This approach keeps the supply chain efficient while ensuring dependable structural performance.
If your project requires alignment with a specific local standard, we can review the requirement during design and confirm an appropriate material plan based on availability and engineering criteria.

Roof & Wall Systems for Riding Arenas
Corrugated Steel Sheet vs. Sandwich Panels
Common enclosure options include:
Single-skin steel sheet: cost-effective, durable, straightforward installation
Sandwich panels (insulated): better thermal performance and condensation control, often improved comfort in colder climates
The right choice depends on your climate, budget, and whether the arena will be used in cold seasons.
Coatings and Corrosion Protection
For longer service life and lower maintenance, finishing options can include galvanized materials and protective coating systems. This matters more in humid, coastal, or high-moisture environments.
Doors, Windows, and Practical Openings
Indoor arenas typically benefit from:
large equipment access doors
personnel doors for daily circulation
ventilation openings and functional windows (where appropriate)
We plan openings around your riding flow, equipment access, and ventilation needs.
Riding Surface & Base Coordination (Local Contractor Scope)
Footing Layers and Drainage Planning
The riding surface system (base, drainage, and footing layers) is usually completed by your local contractor based on local soil conditions and preferred riding surface type. We coordinate the building layout and access needs so your arena structure supports proper site planning.
Equipment Access for Maintenance
Most arenas require regular dragging and surface care. Plan door sizes and access routes early so tractors and drags move easily without tight turns or bottlenecks.
